The slide below is a typical example of how a shift can be broken down into categories of activity. As well as the standard factors that you would normally see (breaks, allowances and performance rating) the breakdown also includes our 7% challenge – those unidentified factors that disrupt work flows.
The 7% solution is to apply some basic and common techniques of time management to increase the standard work of each operative by 0.60 hours, from 5.31 hours to 5.91 hours.
